Would you like to refer someone for a position at Harvard Medical School?

All paid staff and faculty within Harvard Medical School are eligible for a Referral Bonus for IT job families grades 57 and above positions and SR. GRANT MANAGER positions.  A current list of eligible jobs can be found below and will continue to be updated as positions are filled or posted.

Referral Bonus Details:

  • $2,500 will be paid to any HMS employee (staff or faculty) identifying an individual who is hired for an IT or Sr. Grant Manager job listed.  The bonus will be processed following the new employee’s start date.
  • Should an applicant be referred to the same position by more than one referral source, the referral bonus will be paid to the individual who made the referral at the earliest date.  
  • You must be on HMS payroll at the time of the bonus payment.
  • Bonus payments are processed through the payroll system, subject to payroll taxes, and are included in your regular paycheck.
  • HR Services Team members, hiring managers who are involved in recruiting for the position, and anyone on the interview team are not eligible for the referral bonus.

Candidate Criteria:

  • All professionals who are not currently employed in a regular position at HMS are eligible to be referred. Prior employees of HMS within the last 12 months, internal candidates, temporary staff, less than half-time employees, and contract employees hired through agencies will be considered for the position, however their candidacy is not eligible for a referral bonus.
  • All candidates must comply with position and pre-employment requirements.  

To Make A Referral:

  • Please us the Referral Form to complete the requested information and submit.  You will not be eligible for the bonus unless this form is completed and submitted. *You will need a copy of the candidate’s resume to upload*
  • If your candidate is hired, you will be notified by our Talent Acquisition Team.
