Temporary Employment

Temporary employees are regularly scheduled to work in a position for less than 90 days in duration (or six months in duration if temporarily replacing a regular employee on leave).

Less Than Half-Time (LHT) Employment

Less than half-time employees are regularly scheduled to work less than 14 hours per week.

Interns

College students in a recognized intern program (from another college, university or formal training program) are ordinarily paid through Harvard's payroll. Interns must be fulfilling an on-the-job training component for successful completion of degree or certificate requirements.  Interns who work 30 hours a week or more for longer than 90 days will be eligible for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
